I have been craving a Vermont adventure. We love to get in the car on the weekends and just drive aimlessly through backroads until we hit Vermont. Before meeting Mike, I had never been further north than Massachusetts. I had no idea how beautiful and peaceful it would be. I love the tree colors changing in the fall and the golden hour in the summer. The small town corner stores and the small shops with hand made goods. Vermont is one of the most relaxing places to go on a whim!
We had stopped in a small store in the middle of Jamaica, Vermont to grab a water and some snacks and to our surprise there was a whole band in there supplying the tunes. Honestly, only in Vermont!
I would do anything to be basking in the sun on the Cape. I miss summer and I miss the beach. I miss driving with the windows down singing loudly and poorly with Mike or my best friends or both. I miss walking across the street to get ice cream and eating it on the stoop. I miss being tan and my natural sun-kissed highlight. Most of all, I miss the summer sun which stomps spring, winter, autumn sun into the ground.
Right now, it’s nearly April and the sunny window will do.
Throwing it way way back to summer 2015. Fresh faced, new glasses, cute septum ring, and a boyfriend who I hadn’t realized was evil yet. It felt like a high school summer, you know what I mean? I was working, but I had cut down my hours to take some classes at Rutgers, but even still, these three months felt so care free and fun and light. It was perfect.
